2025 Wuling Starlight Officially Launches with Enhanced Comfort, Range, and Value

2025 Wuling Starlight Launches with Upgraded EV and PHEV Options
On May 28, the 2025 Wuling Starlight officially hit the market, offering six variants priced from ¥79,800 to ¥125,800 (approximately $11,000–$17,500). As part of a limited-time promotional campaign, buyers can enjoy a trade-in price as low as ¥76,800 to ¥115,800 ($10,600–$16,100), with additional government subsidies for vehicle scrappage up to ¥20,000 ($2,800).

Modern Styling with a Distinct Identity
The 2025 Starlight maintains much of the design language of the current generation but introduces visual refinements for each variant. The PHEV version features a bold diamond-wing grille, contributing to a futuristic, dynamic appearance. In contrast, the EV version uses a sleek, closed-off front fascia with split LED headlights for a high-tech feel. Clean side body lines and a fastback roofline give the vehicle a coupe-inspired profile, while a full-width LED tail light enhances its modern rear design.

Redesigned Interior with a Focus on Comfort and Usability
Inside, the 2025 Wuling Starlight introduces a newly styled steering wheel and reconfigured center console layout. The traditional rotary shifter is replaced by a column-mounted gear selector, freeing up storage space in the central tunnel area.

Comfort and convenience features are noticeably upgraded across trims. Standard offerings include laminated acoustic glass for the windshield and all four doors, power-adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation, heated rear seats, a rear center armrest, and a 50W air-cooled wireless phone charger. The rear seating experience has also been enhanced with increased recline angle and extended cushion length for better support during long drives.

Enhanced Powertrain Options and Longer EV Range
The 2025 Starlight is available with both plug-in hybrid and fully electric configurations. The PHEV variant combines a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine with an electric motor, delivering a total motor output of 150 kW. It is available with either a 9.5kWh or 20.5kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, offering CLTC pure electric ranges of 70 km and 150 km, respectively.

The pure electric model sees battery capacity upgrades to 54.5kWh and 69.2kWh options. As a result, CLTC-rated ranges have been extended to 510 km and 610 km, meeting the needs of urban commuters and long-distance drivers alike.

A Well-Rounded Choice for Value-Oriented Drivers
Since its debut, the Wuling Starlight has won favor for its accessible pricing and practical feature set. The 2025 refresh builds on that foundation with significant improvements in cabin comfort, driving technology, and range capability—without raising the entry price. Whether you're a first-time EV buyer or a family shopper seeking value and space, the 2025 Wuling Starlight offers a compelling package in the compact sedan market.
