2025 Smart #1 Facelift Revealed with Improved Motor and New Features
The newly updated 2025 Smart #1 has made its real-world debut ahead of its official launch at the 2025 Greater Bay Area Auto Show on May 31. This facelift brings a notable upgrade to its powertrain, enhancing both driving performance and range, while also refreshing the design inside and out.
Sleek Exterior Styling with New Color Options
Visually, the new Smart #1 retains its signature futuristic styling. The closed-off front grille and full-width LED lightingmaintain its strong electric vehicle identity. The distinctive triangular headlamps add a touch of agility to the look, while the compact air ducts on the front bumper contribute to a sportier stance.
New exterior paint options include Moon Porcelain White and Stellar Blue, offering greater personalization. The car also adopts a new 19-inch alloy wheel design, boosting its overall aesthetic appeal.
Upgraded Interior Materials and Infotainment Features
Inside, the cabin continues with a 9.2-inch full-digital instrument panel and a 12.8-inch floating central touchscreen. A three-spoke multifunction steering wheel remains standard. The refreshed model introduces a green interior color scheme, along with brushed metal trim for a more refined ambiance.
The center armrest now features leather wrapping for added comfort and luxury. Additionally, the audio system has been upgraded to premium brand Sennheiser, promising a more immersive in-car sound experience.
Enhanced Powertrain and Extended Range
One of the major upgrades in the 2025 Smart #1 lies under the hood. The standard version is now equipped with a rear-mounted single electric motor labeled TZ220XYA02, delivering a maximum power output of 250 kW.
The electric SUV continues to offer a choice between lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and ternary lithium battery packs. Although specific range figures have not been disclosed, Smart confirms that the driving range will see a meaningful increase compared to the outgoing model.
With these updates, the 2025 Smart #1 is set to maintain its competitive edge in the compact electric SUV market, blending futuristic design, efficient performance, and modern technology.
